PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when applying a membrane separation method to sewage treatment facilities or the like, although it is desired that a particles capturing diameter of a membrane for completely eliminating Escherichia coli is 0.4μm or smaller, when filtration is continuously performed in activated sludge using a conventional stainless steel wire netting having 0.4μm of the particles capturing diameter, only a low permeation flux is obtained and insufficient treatment volume can be ensured, and to provide a metal filter providing a high permeation flux (low filtration resistance) even with micropores and a filtration method for sewage using the same.
