The confidence measure values calculated from multimedia class models consisting of data vectors, are assigned to each input multimedia data items. The assigned values are stored in a look-up table which is used to select representative images corresponding to specific category and to evaluate difference between class containing current multimedia data and class represented by different class model. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) automatic confidence measure value calculating apparatus; and (2) multimedia asset management system; and (3) interactive image browsing system. |
