<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a belt unit that prevents a belt surface from being scratched when the belt unit is placed on a floor after taken out of a housing and to provide an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The belt unit 37, which has a transfer roller 3 and a belt 5 stretched round the transfer roller 3 and is attachable/detachable to/from the housing of the image forming apparatus 100, is provided with a contact prevention member 1 that prevents the belt 5 from being brought into direct contact with a floor when the unit 37 is taken out of the housing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
