<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cap 20 which is suspended from a fueling lid 12 via a coupling member 28 of a tether mechanism and prevents the member 28 from twisting. <P>SOLUTION: The tether mechanism is provided around the outer periphery of the fuel cap 20. The coupling member 28 is equipped with a fold 31. The fold 31 causes a coupling member body 29 to fold along the outer periphery of the cap when force is applied from the longitudinal direction of the body 29. The fold 31 is formed with larger rigidity against force applied in the twisted direction d1 of the body 29 than that against the force applied from the longitudinal direction. Therefore, even if a part of the coupling member 28 is twisted when fueling, a part of the fold 31 is difficult to twist, so that a fault of breaking at this part does not occur. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
