PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disc excellent in traction characteristic and durability performance by solving a problem wherein it is difficult to mold a corner part of a projection to a curved shape in a rolling element having fine irregularity on a rolling contact surface. SOLUTION: When the irregularity is formed on the rolling contact surface 2 against the disc 1, i.e., the rolling element having the rolling surface 2 with a circular outline on a center cross section along a rotation shaft C, the recessed part 3a and the projection 3b with difference of height being finally 3μm or less are formed by rotating the disc 1 and moving a tool 4 along the rolling surface. Thereafter, the disc 1 is rotated and a grinding wheel 14 with a contact area with the rolling surface 2 of 25 mm<SP>2</SP>or less is pressed to the rolling surface and is moved along the rolling surface 2 and the projection 3b is formed.
