<p>The present invention discloses a scheme and method for the transmission of electronic mail using the unique combination of the telephone number of the intended recipient (employed as the subdomain of a primary domain) together with an appropriate accessible identifier.The invention permits anyone to be contacted by email simply via their telephone number, in association with an appropriate, accessible identifier. The combination of the telephone number and identifier creates a unique record for the email account holder: with minimal personal information, any (authorised) person (r as appropriate) can contact another person by email. Because a certain amount o personal information is required (including the telephone number of the intended recipient), the privacy of account holders can be maintained.</p> |
