The invention relates to an inclinable back rest of a chair, provided with an elastic covering (6). Said chair is preferably fitted with a mechanism by which means the movement of the back rest follows a synchronous movement of the seat (3). Said back rest comprises a frame to which the covering (6) is fixed and which is articulated in a rotational axis. The covering (6) has a window region (64) which merges downwards into a lumbar region (63), laterally into respective edge regions (60, 61), and upwards into a frame region (62). Said window region (64), which supports the back of the user in the inclined position of the user (B), is more elastic than the regions (63, 60, 61, 62) surrounding the same. The covering (6) is knitted in one piece, in a tubular shape without a seam, in a fully fashioned manner. |
