PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drying device for efficiently drying the sludge dehydrated by a solid-liquid separator. SOLUTION: This drying device has a rotated and driven outer cylinder 2 and a rotated and driven inner cylinder 3 mounted inside the outer cylinder 2, the inside of the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 3 are partitioned by partitioning plates 4, 6 into a plurality of dried matter conveying passages 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D, the partitioning plates 4, 6, the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 3 are composed of plate heaters, and the partitioning plate 4, the outer cylinder 2 and the inner cylinder 3 composed of the plate heaters, are allowed to generate the heat when the sludge T is successively conveyed in the dried matter conveying passages 5A, 5B, 5C, 5D, 7A, 7B, 7C, 7D to heat the conveyed sludge T by the heat.
