PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a clue for searching for a lost mobile phone terminal by specifying an actual position of the lost mobile phone terminal in accordance with the information related to the present position of the lost mobile phone terminal. SOLUTION: A mobile phone terminal 100 which communicates with an external device through a mobile phone base station is provided with communication means for transmitting and receiving signals to and from the external device with a reception part 102 and a transmission part 103, an information acquisition means for acquiring peripheral information such as image files or sounds by a camera part 111 for picking up image, a sound input part 106 for acquiring sounds, etc., and an information reporting means which is controlled by a control circuit 107 and reports peripheral information acquired by the information acquisition means to the external device. The information acquisition means is controlled in accordance with an operation to a key input part 108 or a prescribed signal (tone signal) from the external device, which is received by the communication means. Thus information around the mobile phone terminal 100 is acquired to obtain a clue for searching for the mobile phone terminal when the mobile phone terminal is lost. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
