PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ironing roll apparatus in a device for winding metallic foil, in which the ironing roll can be easily changed to the length corresponding to the different strip width, and the loose winding and shifted winding are not caused even in the high speed winding. SOLUTION: The ironing roll apparatus 10 supports a roll changer 30, which can replace two ironing rolls 34 (34L, 34S) having the lengths corresponding to the widths of two kinds of strips 3 with each other to the operating position by means of a swing frame 20, which is rotatably supported by a supporting beam 11 and is swingably driven by a swing drive cylinder 12. The ironing roll 34S supported by the roll changer 30 at the operating position is pressed by the swing motion of the swing frame 20 on the outer peripheral surface of a strip coil 4 wound on a winding shaft 1A.
