The-DES-1000 (Duct Exchange System) is a static heat recovery system that ri ds the home or apartment unit of stale air and interchanges it with fresh air. The DES- 1000 is using a concept in which a pipe exist within another pipe to exchange heat in a simple and effective way. This system can complete this task for multi unit residential buildings faster an d more efficiently then prior methods. Due to the lack of organization and coordination on building sites, when installation of the traditional concept occurs, complications occur as well. For example a large quantity of duct is required in order for this concept to work, this is not only costly but is a safety issue as well, the excess of duct may overlap or get in the way of sprinkler heads causing them to malfunction. As a result of the field experience an innovative method is required to eliminate these issues. To solve these issues we are proposing the DES-1000 (Duct Exchange System) with no moving parts and no additional duct. |
