PURPOSE: An LCD device is provided to share two adjacent data lines just before applying a gate on voltage, and to maintain a voltage of data lines at common voltage level, thereby sufficiently charging the data voltage in the data lines and improving distortion of the data voltage. CONSTITUTION: An LCD panel(300) comprises many gate lines(G1-Gn), many data lines(D1-Dm) crossing the gate lines(G1-Gn), and many pixel switching elements consisting of a gate electrode connected to the gate lines(G1-Gn) and a source electrode connected to the data lines(D1-Dm). A gate driver(400) supplies a gate voltage for driving the pixel switching elements to the gate lines(G1-Gn). A data driver(500) supplies a data voltage corresponding to applied video data to the data lines(D1-Dm). The first data line sharing switch(910) comprises the first plural switching elements(911) piercing through the data lines(D1-Dm). The second data line sharing switch(920) comprises the second plural switching elements(921) piercing through the data lines(D1-Dm). A sharing signal generator(600) outputs a sharing control signal for turning on the first and second switching elements(911,921). |
