PURPOSE: A device for receiving a short message of a mobile communication terminal using wireless communication and a method therefor are provided to confirm a short message received in a mobile communication terminal through LAN wireless communication, thereby confirming the received short message without a call disconnection while making a call. CONSTITUTION: A user input unit(210) inputs a user command for confirming a short message. A controller(220) controls the confirmation of the short message according to a user's indication. A signal converter(230) converts a control signal related to a reception of the short message into a wireless communication signal, converts the received short message into data proper for the controller(220), and transmits the converted data to a mobile communication terminal(100). A wireless transceiver(240) transmits the control signal to the mobile communication terminal(100), and connects the short message to the signal converter(230). An LCD screen(250) displays the short message. |
