PURPOSE: A dust cover for a steering shaft of a vehicle is provided to decrease noise through the dust cover by shutting off noise with forming an air space between the cover and the retainer. CONSTITUTION: A dust cover(100) is fastened in a dash panel to penetrate a gearbox of a steering shaft, and composed of a cover(110) and a retainer(120) to insulate noise. The cover is combined with the retainer, and fastened by a bolt. A rib(130) is formed in the cover faced to the retainer by processing the side of the cover, and an air space(140) is formed between the cover and the retainer. Noise from the engine room is insulated primarily with the soundproof cover and decreased secondarily with the air space between the cover and the retainer. Thus, noise through the dust cover is decreased efficiently with forming the air space between the cover and the retainer.
