PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for inspecting an abnormal temperature of high voltage metal enclosed switchboard are provided to forecast and diagnose an abnormal temperature of high voltage metal enclosed switchboard by detecting the temperature of the high voltage metal enclosed switchboard on real time. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for inspecting an abnormal temperature of high voltage metal enclosed switchboard comprises a plurality of circuit breakers(110-1,¡¦,110-n-1) for cutting off power, a plurality of sensors for sensing each temperature of the circuit breakers, a plurality of signal collecting units(120-1,¡¦,120-n) for collecting the sensed signals from the sensors and outputting the signals, and a controller(130). The controller displays each temperature value of the circuit breakers corresponding to the signals outputted from the signal collecting unit on real time and generates an alarm on real time when generating an abnormal temperature after monitoring a changing state of the temperature value.
