PURPOSE: A dual panel type organic electroluminescent device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve effectively product yield and efficiency of production management by forming an array element and a diode element on different substrates. CONSTITUTION: A dual panel type organic electroluminescent device comprises a first and a second substrates(210,250) having a sub pixel region and arranged oppositely each other, an array layer(240) having a plurality of thin film transistor formed on the inside surface of the first substrate, a first electrode(252) formed on the inside surface of the second substrate, an organic electroluminescent layer(260) formed on the lower part of the first electrode, a second electrode(262) formed on the lower part of the organic electroluminescent layer, a connecting pattern(244) made of material having a plastic deformation property, and a seal pattern arranged at the edge of the first and the second substrates for bonding the first and the second substrates. The connecting pattern connects electrically the thin film transistor and the second electrode between the array layer and the second electrode and has a first height. The first height of the connecting pattern is low within a predetermined range than the height of the first and the second substrates before bonding. |
