The invention relates to a thermoplastic fireproof composition based on styrene resin comprising mineral platy filler dispersed in the form of nanoparticles and fireproof compounds. The inventive composition exhibits high fire resistance and sound thermal and mechanical properties. Said composition is used for various applications, in particular for producing TV set covers, monitors and computer centres, office equipment, telephone engineering and electric appliances.
