A manufacturing and evaluation system for a gradient mixture of solid oxide fuel cell components, has a substrate; a liquid chromatography instrument (108) for simultaneously and continuously controlling >=2 solution flow rates; an injection system (122) for injecting samples elected from a sample library into the gradient mixture to form a multi-compositional material; and a delivery device for delivering the gradient mixture to the substrate.
