A steering column tube (3) has first (6') and second (6'') guiding grooves for retaining guide elements. In the first guiding groove there is a die-cast web (8) of a channel that forms one piece with the steering column tube and fits vertical to the steering column tube's direction of slide. The dimensions of the die-cast channel web are designed to depend on a predetermined force.
