The invention concerns a device for positioning (100) the hand (M) on the handle (210) of a sport equipment (200) of the type providing at least a support point for said hand (M). The invention is characterised in that it consists of two angular stops (110 and 120) arranged projecting on the handle (210) so as to provide positioning of the hand by contact with a first stop (110 or 120) with the base of any space between the fingers at the base of the fingers of said hand (M) and by contact with the second stop (110 or 120) with the palm so that a stop (110 or 120) defines the position of the hand (M) required for the forehand shot and the other stop (110 or 120) defines the angular position of the hand (M) required for the back hand shot. The invention also concerns a sport equipment handle incorporating the inventive device. The invention is useful for optimising grips on sport equipment handles in particular racket handles.
