Use of Crosslinked Crystals as a Novel Form of Enzyme Immobilization

A method of immobilizing an enzyme by forming crystals of the enzyme and, generally, also cross-linking the resulting crystals through the use of a bifunctional reagent; crosslinked, immobilized enzyme crystals (CLECs) made by this method; lyophilization of CLECs made by this method; lyophilised crosslinked immobilized CLECs and a method of making a desired product by means of a reaction catalysed by a CLEC or set of CLECs.
