PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing spun yarns that themselves have their own colors and give woven fabrics having rich and meticulous color patterns. SOLUTION: A plurality of top groups 10a, 10b, 10c, and 10d, having different colors from one another are provided. Individual top groups 10a, 10b, 10c, and 10d are each combed with a carding machine 20 to make a plurality of card slivers, 30a, 30b, 30c, and 30d having different colors from one another. Then, the card slivers 30a, 30b, 30c, and 30d, are drawn together with a drawing frame 40 to form one group of drawn sliver 50 and the drawn slivers 50 is roved with roving machine. Finally, the roved yarn 70 is spun with a fine spinning frame 80 to produce the spun yarn 90 for this invention. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
