<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the occurrence of shocks and strange sounds in a four-wheeled-drive vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: A power transmission system 1 is arranged between front and rear wheels 3, 5 in the four-wheeled-drive vehicle. According to the transmission system 1, a locking force of a clutch means is controlled by an electromagnetic force generated through controlling current-carrying in response to an opening of an accelerator or of a throttle, and power output from an engine 11 via a transmission 13 is transmitted to the front and rear wheels 3, 5 as differential control between them is carried out in response to or by the locking force. The transmission system 1 comprises a reversal detection means 23, 27 for detecting the reversal or non-reversal of a speed-change drive direction by the transmission 13, and a control means 23 for controlling the current-carrying of an electromagnet so as to reduce a torque transmitted via the clutch means to a target value on the basis of a signal to reverse the speed-change drive direction that is detected by the reversal detection means 23, 27. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
