<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To overcome the problem that a test program for verifying an apparatus is required to develop every mounted LSI in the apparatus, which is controlled by a microcomputer to perform a variety of controls, comprising a logical device such as the LSI. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer/LSI functional verification device 11 comprises: the microcomputer 12, LSIs 11A, 11B, an interpreter program 13a for testing, a work area 14a of the interpreter program for testing; and an external recording device 15 for detachably mounting a recording medium 16 storing an evaluation script for controlling the LSIs 11A, 11B. The microcomputer 12 analyzes the interpreter program 13a, and develops a control description file recorded in a recording medium mounted on the recording device 15 in a second memory 14 and interprets the file. A means is provided for controlling the LSIs 11A, 11B, based on the interpreted results.
