摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for designing an antisense nucleotide having a high expression inhibitory effect on a target gene without affecting expression of other genes, and to provide a compound of the antisense nucleotide. <P>SOLUTION: This method for designing the antisense compound includes processes (1) to (7) as follows: a process (1) for inputting data on base sequences of oligonucleotides having an antisense effect on the target gene; a process (2) for searching homology of the input data on the base sequences; a process (3) for outputting the data on the genes of which the homology is high; a process (4) for extracting an entire RNA fraction of a cell incubated by adding the oligonucleotide having the base sequence specified in the process (1) to the cell and another entire RNA fraction of the cell incubated by not adding the oligonucleotide; a process (5) for analyzing a difference of expression levels of the genes output in the process (3) between the entire RNA fractions; a process (6) for modifying the base sequence of the oligonucleotide specified in the process (1) based on the difference of the expression levels of the genes; and a process (7) for selecting the oligonucleotide having the antisense effect on the target gene without affecting the expression levels of the genes output in the process (3). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
