<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decompose NOX in exhaust gas at high efficiency by using a harmless and safe urea aqueous solution for a reducing agent. <P>SOLUTION: A reducing agent 4 is highly pressurized by pumps 9 and 12, and heated to the temperature slightly lower than the boiling point by a first heater 14 to use waste heat of a diesel engine 1 and a second heater 16 to use the electric heating. Based on signals from NOX sensors 19 and 20, an electronic control device 18 controls an injector 17 to inject the pressurized/heated reducing agent 4 into exhaust gas in an exhaust pipe 2 according to the NOX concentration. The reducing agent 4 is instantaneously evaporated to completely remove NOX in cooperation with reducing catalyst of a denitration reactor 3, or the quantity of the reducing agent is reduced within an exhaust gas regulation conforming range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
