PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recorder that can prevent an inner section of the recorder from being contaminated by fine ink mist created in the recording and eliminate defective operation of the recorder. SOLUTION: This inkjet recorder performs recording on a recording medium by ejecting ink from a recording head. The inkjet recorder comprises a carriage that has the recording head mounted thereon and can be reciprocated, and an air path forming member which is reciprocated together with the carriage at the front face of the carriage in the reciprocating direction. The air path of the air path forming member is formed across the reciprocating direction. The air path of the air path forming member is formed such that the direction of the air flow passing through the air path forming member positioned on the front face of the carriage in the reciprocating direction at a face perpendicular to the reciprocating direction of the carriage is made across at least the recording medium.
