<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an indication using an LED as a light source, with a small thickness in axial direction, a large exit surface for indication and a high directivity. <P>SOLUTION: This indication lamp for an automobile comprises an optical axis A-A oriented toward the front from the rear, a light source 14 located in the optical axis A-A, and a hard optical piece 12, the optical piece 12 comprising an incidence surface 22 and an exit surface 26. The optical piece 12 has a reflection surface provided vertically and opposite to the exit surface 26 and the direction of the axis. The incidence surface 22 is provided along the direction of the axis between the reflection surface 24 and the exit surface 26.
