PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning image pickup device having a sensitivity improving effect by the increase of the number of elements while the number of reading times of element output is suppressed. SOLUTION: The scanning image pickup device is provided with a detector having a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements, a scanner scanning an image which is image-picked up on the photoelectric conversion element of the detector and an inverse convolution computing element restoring an image flow caused based on a scanning amount of the scanner with respect to the output signal of the detector by an inverse convolution operation.
