PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect a wheel having a different diameter tire installed thereon. SOLUTION: In a case, for example of investigating whether a front left wheel has the different diameter tire installed thereon, it is investigated whether a front left and right wheel speed ratio F_LRVH(F_LRVH←F_LVw/F_RVw) calculated based on front left and right wheel speeds F_LVw, F_RVw is within a different diameter tire installation wheel speed ratio range formed by a wheel speed ratio determination upper value VHHi and a wheel speed ratio determination lower value VHLo, and it is investigated whether a rear left and right wheel speed ratio R_LRVH(R_LRVH←R_LVw/R_RVw) calculated based on rear left and right wheel speeds R_LVw, R_RVw is 1 or an approximation value of 1 (S8). If inequalities, VHHi≥F_LRVH≥VHLo and 1.1≥R_LRVH≥about 0.9 are satisfied, and that state continues for a set time TIME (S11), it is determined that the different diameter tire is installed on the front left wheel (S12).
