PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a rigid polyurethane foam having good dimensional stability and excellent in heat-insulating performance by using an alternative foaming agent for chlorofluorocarbon. SOLUTION: The rigid polyurethane foam is produced by bringing at least an organic polyisocyanate compound into contact with a physical foaming agent and an organic active hydrogen compound having a solubility parameter in a specific range and a nitrogen atom concentration in a specific range.
