PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recycle an organic precipitate forming agent. SOLUTION: In this uranium recovering method wherein the organic precipitate forming agent is added into an uranium containing nitric acid solution to precipitate an organic uranium compound, and wherein it is recovered and heated to be converted into uranium oxide, the recovered precipitate of the organic uranium compound is made into slurry, an inorganic precipitate forming agent is added thereto to precipitate a slightly soluble inorganic uranium compound, the slightly soluble inorganic uranium compound is recovered by solid-liquid separation, and the organic precipitate forming agent in a filtrate is recycled. This method is economical, the organic precipitate forming agent is not heat-treated in the method, and resultingly the method allows use of a precipitate forming agent difficult in use in the prior art because a corrosive substance is generated by the heat treatment.
