PURPOSE: A portable telephone with a pickup device and a method for displaying the number of photographable films or the number of photographing completed films are provided to display the number of photographable films or the number of photographing completed films on a display of the portable telephone with a pickup device. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(11) executes various processes through cooperation with a designated one of various programs corresponding to a portable telephone, and displays executed results on a display(13). An input unit(12) outputs pressed signals to the CPU(11) by comprising a ten-key, various function switches, a mode conversion switch for performing a mode conversion of a speech mode and a camera mode, and a release switch used to photograph an image. The display(13) displays data inputted from the CPU(11) on a screen. The display(13) displays photographed image data while previewing the image data.
