PURPOSE: An apparatus for opening and closing supply of gas into coke oven heating wall is provided to increase combustion efficiency in the heating wall through smooth and stable supply of gas and extend life cycle of coke oven by improving structure of gas supply opening and closing unit from lever type to gear type. CONSTITUTION: In an apparatus for opening and closing supply of gas into coke oven heating wall from main supply pipe, the apparatus comprises a plurality of reversing cocks(21,22,23,24) installed on a plurality of gas supply pipes branched off from the main supply pipe; a plurality of upper pinion gears(31a,32a,33a,34a) connected to the plurality of reversing cocks through shafts(21a,22a,23a,24a); a plurality of lower pinion gears(31b,32b,33b,34b) supported by supports(51,52,53,54) and shafts(51a,52a,53a,54a) with being respectively engaged with the plurality of upper pinion gears; and a pair of racks(11,12) horizontally reciprocated with being engaged with the plurality of lower pinion gears, wherein a pair of the lower pinion gears(31b,32b) in the plurality of lower pinion gears are engaged with the first rack(11) in the pair of racks while another pair of lower pinion gears(33b,34b) adjacent to the pair of the lower pinion gears are engaged with the second rack(12).
