PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing plate supply method for a printer which considers the fluctuations of the rotation rate (rotary angle) of a plate cylinder during supplying a master to the plate cylinder and its rotation and thereby, controls the appropriate compensation for the fluctuations so that the manufactured master is certainly loaded on the plate cylinder always to a specified winding level without wrinkles, and a printing plate supply device of the printer. SOLUTION: A control device 65 controls a main motor 57 so as to change the rotation rate of the plate cylinder 50 based on a pulse signal relative to the rotation rate of the plate cylinder 50 from an encoder sensor 64 in compensating for the fluctuations of the rotation rate of the plate cylinder 50 generated depending upon the position of a clamper 51 and a stage part 51b during the supply of the master to the plate cylinder 50 and its rotation.
