PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having low fog density and high sensitivity, suppressing an increase in fog density after long-term storage, excellent in color tone stability of a silver image during long-term storage and after heat development, also excellent in suitability to rapid heat development, and improved in unevenness in image density, and also to provide an image recording method and an image forming method using the same. SOLUTION: In the silver salt photothermographic dry imaging material having a photosensitive layer containing non-photosensitive organic silver salt grains, photosensitive silver halide grains, a silver ion reducing agent and a binder, a compound represented by formula (1) is contained in the photosensitive layer, and when the dry imaging material is exposed with a light exposure of 5-75μJ/cm<SP>2</SP>and heat-developed by a drum developing system at 123±5°C for 16±5 sec, the average radius r of areas of influence is 0.01-0.35μm.
