PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure a leakage current according to a plurality of kinds of standards, to reduce a manufacturing cost, and to compactify a size of an instrument. SOLUTION: This instrument is provided with a measuring part (a voltage detecting part 12, an A/D converting part 13 and a control part 19) for measuring a current flowing in a current detecting four-terminal circuit via measuring cables 14a,14b as a leakage current, based on a current-detecting resistance value in the four-terminal circuit and a voltage difference generated between a pair of output parts thereof. The instrument is provided also with a simulated human body impedance circuit 11 provided with a plurality of kinds of electronic components for constituting the plurality of kinds of current detecting four-terminal circuits and a plurality of connection switching elements for switching connection conditions of the four-terminal circuits to form any out of the kinds of current detecting four-terminal circuits, and the control part 19 for switching connection conditions of the respective connection switching elements according to a switch control command to form the any kind out of the four-terminal circuits specified by the switch control command.
