摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spectroscope, a confocal optical system using the same, and a scanning optical microscope, having a high wavelength resolution, without unnecessarily increasing the arrangement precision of an optical element, in which the total apparatus can be compactly constituted. SOLUTION: The spectroscope is provided with a substantially point light source which emits a divergent light consisting of a plurality of wavelengths, a first optical system which makes the divergent light emitted from the point light source into an approximately parallel light, a spectroscopic element which separates the luminous flux which is made into the approximately parallel light by the first optical system, and a second optical system which concentrates near the focal line the luminous flux separated by the spectroscopic element. By the constitution in which the aberration at the plurality of wavelengths is corrected for the second optical system, even outside the optical axis, the spectroscope having the high wavelength resolution is provided.
