<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid interference of a cylinder head and a connection part of an upper side exhaust manifold and a lower side exhaust guide while avoiding increase of installation space for an exhaust gas passage in an engine room of an outboard motor vertically divided into two. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust gas passage 24 in the engine room of the outboard motor is constructed by connecting the exhaust manifold 61 connected to the cylinder head and the exhaust guide 62 connected to an exhaust passage 35b of a mount case 35 at the connection part 62a. A part lower than a lowermost combustion chamber 20 of the exhaust manifold 61 is bent to a direction separating from the cylinder head in relation to other parts. Consequently, interference of the connection part 62a and the cylinder head can be avoided while controlling installation space for the exhaust manifold 61 to the minimum and influence on exhaust efficiency to the minimum. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
