PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for driving an accessory such as particularly a fuel pump so that the accessory is continuously operated even when a motor is in failure or power supply is cut off. SOLUTION: The system for driving the accessory such as the fuel pump 13 or an oil pump of a turbo engine 10 comprises the motor 21 and an air turbine 20 joined to the motor 21. The air turbine adaptably contributes to supply the flow of air taken out of a compressor 12 of the turbo engine 10 and driving the accessory. The system also includes a valve 25 for controlling the flow of air taken out of the compressor. The control valve is in a closed position during a time when the turbo engine 10 is started.
