<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timbre control filter (effector) of digital circuit arrangement capable of reproducing a sound which is as close to an analog sound as possible by simulating not only frequency characteristics of an analog Wah circuit, but also behavior of distortion according to the analog Wah circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The timbre control filter of digital circuit arrangement which imparts effect of a frequency characteristic modulation system to an input musical sound signal and outputs the resulting signal is equipped with a double integration type filter part including an integrator and a multiplier as components of a band-pass stage and an integrator and a multiplier as components of a low-pass stage. A coefficient determining frequency characteristics of the low-pass stage is fixed and only a coefficient determining frequency characteristics of the band-pass stage is controlled. In order to simulate distortion generated by analog equipment, multiplication of the band-pass stage is performed behind the integrator in a special nonlinear style. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
