PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional switch easy to assemble. SOLUTION: The multi-directional switch includes a conductive member (with a central contact portion (42) and four side contact portions (411)). A push key (63) can be actuated to press a selected one of a plurality of interconnected, conductive, resilient plate portions of an annular peripheral plate (50') or a conductive, resilient plate portion of a central plate (50) against a corresponding one of the central contact portion (42) and the side contact portions (411). Upon release of the push key (63), the resilient plate portions of the central plate and the peripheral plate return the push key to a normal position. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
