PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resin-sealed optical module which is small in variation in coupling efficiency between an optical semiconductor device and an optical fiber, and small in tracking error even when used in a temperature range of -40 to 85°C. SOLUTION: The structure of the resin-sealed optical module has at least a laser diode (LD) 1a, a lens 2, and an optical fiber 4; and the LD 1a and optical fiber 4 are optically coupled by a lens 2, a part which constitutes an optical path between the LD 1a and lens 2 is filled with a transparent resin 3 for sealing, and a gap is formed at a part which constitutes at least an optical path between the lens 2 and optical fiber 4.
