PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picking prevention device capable of coping with many types of thumb-turns and capable of eliminating the need of packing many types of thumb-turn caps in a product and a thumb-turn cap used for the picking prevention device. SOLUTION: This thumb-turn cap is fitted onto the indoor side thumb-turn of a door lock and stopped to rotate integrally with the thumb-turn in locked state by locking to a locking means fitted to a door surface or a door mounting surface on the indoor side, The thumb-turn cap comprises an inside member, an intermediate member, and an outer member having fitting parts and fitted to the fitting parts in nested form each other. The outer member is solely fitted onto the thumb-turn or the combination of the outer member with the intermediate member or the combination of all members is fitted onto the thumb-turn through the fitting part of the member positioned on the innermost side.
