PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thread rolling flat die with which a male screw having a shape by which locking effect is well worked is manufactured surely and economically and a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: A plurality of recessed parts 4 are recessionarily provided on the flank surface of a working tooth 3 of a finishing part 2b. The recessed part 4 is a part for projectingly providing the projecting part for use in locking in the male screw part. When using the thread rolling flat die 1, a thread is formed by rolling on an outer peripheral surface by the plastic deformation of the outer peripheral surface which is pressed with the working tooth 3 by rolling and moving a base stock to be formed by rolling on the finishing part 2, In such a case, because the recessed parts 4 are recessionarily provided on the flank surfaces of the working tooth 3, the material which is pressed with the working tooth 3 is flowed into the recessionarily provided spaces of the recessed part 4 and, as the result, the projecting parts are projectingly provided in the parts corresponding to the recessed parts 4 on the flank surface of the thread which is formed by rolling on the base stock to be rolled.
