POLYMERIZED TONER MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymerized toner manufacturing method for obtaining colored polymer particles whose moisture content is small and from which particulates are removed by efficient solid-liquid separation from a water dispersion medium incorporating produced colored polymer particles after a polymerization stage. SOLUTION: The polymerized toner manufacturing method includes a stage 1 for producing the colored polymer particles by polymerizing polymerizable monomer composition incorporating at least a colorant and a polymerizable monomer in the water dispersion medium and a stage 2 for separating the colored polymer particles from the water dispersion medium. The polymerized toner is manufactured by separating the colored polymer particles from the water dispersion medium in the stage 2 by using a screw type vertical centrifugal separator (1).
