RESIN COMPOSITION AND AMORPHOUS CARBON MOLDED PRODUCT OBTAINED BY CARBONIZING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition suitable for molding and an amorphous carbon molded product obtained by carbonizing the resin composition.

SOLUTION: The resin composition consists essentially of 50-95 mass% of a novolak phenol resin having ≥3 abundance ratio of ortho-bonds/para-bonds measured by an NMR method and 50-5 mass% of a carbonaceous material. Furthermore, the carbonaceous material is preferably at least one kind selected from graphite powder, carbon black and a cured phenol. The amorphous carbon molded product is produced by carbonizing a molded product composed of the carbonaceous material.
