PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure of a viscoelastic damper having improved rupture performance while suppressing an abnormal deformation to be caused near a bonded portion of metal plates to highly damping materials by a high speed vibration of 0.5 Hz or more. SOLUTION: In the viscoelastic damper 11, metal plates such as steel plates 2a and 2b, 2b and 2c, 2c and 2d, and 2d and 2e are integrally vulcanized and bonded together while interposing highly damping materials 13 respectively between them. A free surface portion 13a of the highly damping material 13 is provided with an elastic material 14 having resilience while following the deformation of the highly damping material 13. The highly damping material 13 is formed of a viscoelastic body (a rubber elastic body) or a viscose body having an equivalent damping constant (Heq) of 0.2 or more.
