A linear actuator for vehicle power steering systems with at least three steered wheels (R) of a double-acting type that comprises a cylindrical body (2), closed at opposite ends (3); a piston (4), accommodated inside the cylindrical body (2) axially slideable between the ends; and a stem (11), rigidly associated with the piston (11), coaxial to the cylindrical body (2), and protruding from at least one of the ends (3), the piston (4) dividing the cylindrical body (2) into two chambers (6a, 6b), each provided with an inflow/outflow opening (7) formed at the two opposite ends (3); and at least one pair of one-way valves (8a, 8b), provided in the piston (4) with a respective inlet (9) connected to a respective chamber (6a, 6b) and outlets (10) mutually connected, each valve (8a, 8b) having a stem (11) slideably accommodated in the respective inlet (9) with one end associated with a respective flow control element (12) and the opposite end that protrudes externally from the piston (4), so as to open a respective valve (8a, 8b), the piston (4) being located proximate to the closed end (3) of the corresponding chamber (6a, 6b) and the other valve (8a, 8b) being at least partially opened by the flow of the pressurized working fluid in the other chamber (6a, 6b), for the transfer of an amount of fluid from the chamber (6a, 6b) that is at a higher pressure to the chamber (6a, 6b) that is at a lower pressure. <IMAGE> |
