METHOD FOR MANAGING GRAPHIC DATA OF HIGH DENSITY OPTICAL DISC

PURPOSE: A method for managing graphic data of a high density optical disc is provided to record graphic images matched with a main stream of the high density optical disc as a graphic image file and record navigation information for reading the graphic image in a source packet multiplexed to the main stream. CONSTITUTION: In the main stream of audio/video data recorded in a data area of a BD-ROM(Blu-ray Disc ROM), the navigation information such as the source packet is recorded in a front of a predetermined record section. A main video/audio stream is moving image data, still image data, or audio data played with the graphic images linked by the graphic information. An ODD(Optical Disc Drive) searches/reads the graphic images recorded in the graphic image file by referring to the graphic information recorded in the source packet, and sequentially plays the main video/audio stream together with the graphic images.
